The Reach Out and Read Program at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia has a long history of giving out books to children throughout the Greater Philadelphia area. Having rolled back to birth in recent years, they now fund the purchase of books for children starting right at birth through 5 years!
Some locations to highlight are CHOP Karabots, West Philadelphia and CHOP Primary Care, Springfield. In 2023 The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Karabots W Philadelphia and The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Primary Care of Springfield Reach Out and Read Programs have given out 7,569 books and 6,650 books respectively. This dedication to giving a book at every well child visit through the age of 5 is so important and deserves to be recognized!
