Zero to Three LEARN Conference:

This summer, Natalie and I were able to venture to Long Beach, California, to attend the Zero to Three LEARN Conference for the first time. As long-time admirers of the Zero to Three organization, it was such a pleasure to be able to talk to the attendees about the conference and their collective missions. We saw some familiar faces, people we have worked with over the years, but even better was that we met so many new people who were looking for an affordable book option for their programs. With the primary objective of serving children from birth to three years, our books were exactly what they were looking for, and we were glad to offer our services. With the conference happening in Baltimore, MD, in 2025, we will happily be attending, this time with a bit less jet lag!  - Paige, Marketing Manager

Reach Out and Read Wisconsin's Annual Meeting:

In September, I had the pleasure of traveling to Appleton, Wisconsin, to attend their annual Reach Out and Read meeting. The festivities began with a fundraising event – “Books Build Better Brains” - held at The Building for Kids Children’s Museum. Attendees were able to donate funds to win raffle baskets and play games while mingling with one another. The following day our meeting was held at Bubolz Nature Preserve. This event included keynote speaker Dr. John Hutton, as well as Dr. Wendy Molaska, and others who presented on valuable topics within in early literacy. This successful trip brought me the opportunity to meet some of our Wisconsin customers as well as many others who expressed their gratitude for All About Books and the support we provide to their sites. - Halle, Sales Account Manager

Reach Out and Read Rhode Island 25th Anniversary Fundraiser:

In mid-October, I traveled to attend the Reach Out and Read Rhode Island 25th Anniversary Fundraising event in Providence. It was such a pleasure to see the books we donated used as centerpieces and to see all the people passionate about bringing books to the children of Rhode Island. It’s always an honor to hear Dr. Perri Klass speak about her experience with Reach Out and Read and the children who benefit from this amazing program. In addition to Dr. Perri Klass, I had the privilege of watching Dr. Pamela High receive the 2024 Champion of Joyful Connections Award for her dedication to bringing joy to children through books and always ensuring joy was at the forefront of Reach Out and Read. She and her grandson read ‘Goodnight Moon’ together on stage, which was a truly special moment. We love supporting the Reach Out and Read Rhode Island clinics! - Natalie, Senior Sales Account Manager

Maryland Chapter, the American Academy of Pediatrics (MDAAP) Annual Meeting

All About Books has long partnered with the Maryland Chapter, the American Academy of Pediatrics (MDAAP).  This past September we had the opportunity to support their annual meeting which brought together members of their state-wide organization to network with one another, learn about innovative pediatric practice issues, and to celebrate their members’ accomplishments.  While we were not able to attend in person, we loved seeing the pictures from the event and hope to be there in person next year! - Sarah, Director of Sales and Marketing

Parents As Teachers International Conference:

In October, we participated in the 2024 Parents As Teachers International conference held in sunny San Diego. Over four days, we engaged with parent educators who regularly visit homes to educate and support families with young children. Receiving their feedback on how we can assist these programs in their early childhood and literacy initiatives through the Parents As Teachers model was invaluable; many of these programs offer free books during every home visit. We talked about their client's needs, including more bilingual titles, socio-emotional books, and literature that celebrates diversity. Gathering this feedback is crucial for us to better curate our titles for the programs we assist.  - Brittany, Marketing Specialist

Reach Out and Read Greater New York Gala:

When I moved to NYC, I knew it would mean not seeing my incredible coworkers in person every day, but the tradeoff I moved for was living in this beautiful city and being able to represent AAB at events just like Reach Out and Read Greater New York Gala in October. The event, held at City Winery, was a celebration of the 25th anniversary of ROR Greater NY paired with incredible sunset views over the Hudson river, of Little Island, and a snipit of the NYC skyline. The gala itself was a huge success and being able to watch the excitement of the live auction and seeing them reach their fundraising goal was so inspiring to see. Since we were a sponsor for the evening, it was a pleasure to relish in the joy of watching fundraising goal being met. I cannot wait for the next ROR Greater New York event!  - Paige, Marketing Manager

Books on Tap Reach Out and Read Kansas City:

Reach Out and Read Kansas City provides over 60,000 books to 27,000 children and families in pediatric clinics throughout the Greater Kansas City metro area annually. Its goals are to strengthen the community, empower parents, and prepare children for Kindergarten. This past September, All About Books supported this event, and we plan to continue our support in 2025. While we were not able to attend in person, we loved seeing the pictures from the event and hope to someday be there in person! - Sarah, Director of Sales and Marketing
