Supporting Literacy: Our Fall 2025 Events and Partnerships
A heartfelt thank you to All About Books for making it possible for us to participate in this conference in such a meaningful way. Their unwavering commitment to early literacy continues to make a tremendous difference for Georgia’s children and families.
Reach Out & Read Georgia
We just wrapped up another season of conferences, traveling far and wide to share our love of books. Seeing our customers in person is a big highlight of the fall! Take a look at what our team has been up to and where we have been:
Reach Out & Read San Diego Books on the Bay Fundraiser:
In September, All About Books showed our support for Reach Out & Read San Diego at their Books on the Bay fundraiser dinner. The weather could not have been better for this well-attended event held outside on the patio at The Dana on Mission Bay. Lively music and performances from Alma del Ballet Folklorico dancers set the tone for the evening where they came very close to reaching their fundraising goal. Although we couldn't attend, we loved seeing photos from the event and hope to join in next time!
Maryland Chapter, the American Academy of Pediatrics (MDAAP) Annual Meeting:
All About Books has long partnered with the Maryland Chapter, the American Academy of Pediatrics (MDAAP), and this September we were thrilled to be able to support their annual meeting celebrating 75 years! The focus was Pediatrics Then & Now, where members of their state-wide organization came together to network with one another, learn about innovative pediatric practice issues, and to celebrate their many accomplishments in this milestone commemorative year.
Reach Out & Read Kansas City Books on Tap Family Event:
Reach Out and Read Kansas City provides over 60,000 books to 27,000 children and families in pediatric clinics throughout the Greater Kansas City metro area annually. Its goals are to strengthen the community, empower parents, and prepare children for Kindergarten. Books on Tap is a vital annual fundraising event to their cause, which we were excited to support once again in September. It is always a fun evening filled with great food, drinks, silent auctions, and exciting door prizes—all in support of early literacy.
Parents As Teachers International Conference:
In October, we participated in the 2025 Parents As Teachers International conference held in beautiful San Juan, Puerto Rico! Over three days, we engaged with parent educators who regularly visit homes to educate and support families with young children. Receiving their feedback on how we can assist these programs in their early childhood and literacy initiatives through the Parents As Teachers model is invaluable; many of these programs offer free books during every home visit. We talked about their client's needs, including more bilingual titles as well as potty-training books. Gathering this feedback is crucial for us to better curate our titles for the programs we assist. - Paige, Marketing Manager
Reach Out & Read Michigan Breakfast for Dinner Fundraiser:
Fundraisers like this empower Reach Out & Read Michigan to create meaningful, lasting change—ensuring every child has access to early literacy experiences and enters school ready to learn, thrive, and realize their full potential. All About Books was proud to sponsor this event filled with food, fun, storytelling, and heartfelt impact. We absolutely loved the breakfast for dinner theme! While we could not attend in person, we loved seeing the pictures from the event and hope to someday be there in person!
Reach Out & Read Greater New York A Book for Every Child:
All About Books was proud to support this fundraising event that featured cocktails, dinner, an uplifting awards ceremony, and a lively auction at Tribeca Rooftop in New York City. Internationally acclaimed author and illustrator of the beloved Alma books, Juana Martinez-Neal, was in attendance to receive the 2025 Children’s Literacy Author Award. The evening’s festivities generated vital support to put a book into the hands of every child at each pediatric checkup across Greater New York—helping to strengthen families, foster healthy child development, and ensure a more equitable future. - Paige, Marketing Manager
Reach Out & Read Wisconsin Meeting:
Wisconsin hosts 317 Reach Out & Read program sites, seeing over 300k well-visits and handing out 304k books yearly. We are always excited to support and attend their annual meeting, and it was truly inspiring to listen to this year's speakers and see the growth of their network! This was their largest meeting yet at the end of October, which took place at the absolutely magical Epic Headquarters in Verona, WI. It was a wonderful day of community where I was able to connect with attendees about titles to support their sites' growing awareness for children’s mental health. - Halle, Sales Account Manager
Reach Out & Read National Summit:
In November, we were proud to be the exclusive sponsor of this year's national summit reception at the beautiful Watergate Hotel in Washington, DC. Over two days, our team had the opportunity to connect with more than 250 early childhood leaders during this event focused on the growth and celebration of Reach Out & Read programs nationwide. It was a great opportunity to introduce attendees to upcoming titles that we are excited about, and hear more about their needs and focuses for the upcoming year. It was our pleasure to share a copy of Strictly No Elephants by Lisa Mantchev with each attendee—a favorite title of ours. A particular highlight for our team was the opportunity to meet new the Reach Out & Read CEO Dr. Lynette Fraga! - Sarah, Director of Sales and Marketing
Reach Out & Read Georgia Pediatrics in the Park:
All About Books was honored to sponsor the Pediatrics in the Park conference organized by the Georgia Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics this November. With our support, the Reach Out & Read Georgia team was able to co-host the reception for this event that welcomed pediatricians and partners who champion early literacy and positive parent-child relationships from all across the state. While we could not be there in person, we loved seeing the pictures and hope to someday attend a future event!
